I'm fuckin pissed off!

OK, so some of you may know about the recent trend by artists and/or their record companies putting corrupted mp3's up on Kazaa or WinMX or whatever file sharing utility is currently in use. This is fuckin bullshit man.

So here I am interested in downloading the Sam Roberts CD. I've heard a couple of his songs on the radio, and I think I might like him, but not enough to buy the CD though. I mean I'm fuckin sorry but I'm not about to shell out 15 bucks on someone I MIGHT like. So enter the internet. All I want to do is download the album and listen to it, to see if I like it. That way, if he comes to town, I am more likely to go see him. Also, I'll become a fan, maybe buy a T-Shirt, buy his next CD, and tell all my friends about him. But ohhh no, the fuckin record company has put all these bogus copies of the songs out there, so it's practically impossible to get the album. I mean why the fuck don't they get this? It's a fuckin simple mathematical equation here. If I have to buy a CD fuck you, you get no money from me. None! Even if someone offered me his fucking CD now for free, or free concert tickets I wouldn't fucking take them, you can kiss my fuckin ass.

I understand that artists should get paid for their work, don't get me wrong. But we all know the statistics that the average artist gets like three cents per album sold. And I mean how many of them say they are in this for music, not the money? But, it's not the fuckin artist it's the fuckin record companies. It's the fat, money hungry, cocksucking record executives who drive around in their hundred thousand dollar cars, saying that the artists are getting raped by file sharing software. FUCK YOU. I am so sick and tired of this holier than though attitude. We're the fuckin consumers here, were the ones who are force fed this fucking bullshit company line and expected to swallow it down with a smile on our faces.

The thing is though, as much as these fuckers are making it near impossible to get this shit. They aren't stopping it entirely. There are STILL programs out there to get this shit. And I'm urging each and every one of you out there to use them. Bit Torrent and Newsgroups are still two perfectly good ways to get your hands on MP3's and software. The harder these fucking pricks make it to get this music, the harder we have to fight. They shut down Napster, probably the biggest library of music to ever exist in the history of man. I mean there was everything on there, and instead of realizing the potential of this marvel of modern technology, they burned it down and pissed on the ashes. What a fucking waste that was. All because the record companies were worried that their 60% markup was going to disappear. If we truly lived in a capitalist society where everyone stood a chance to make their mark, to make money by any means they deemed necessary, this would never have happened. Instead we live in a society where government bodies and big corporations decide what we have access too, and how we will get that access.

I am so fuckin tired of this shit man. Whether it's television cable, MP3's, the food we eat, or the fucking clothes we wear. Our fuckin generation needs to take control of this fucking ship and steer it in a path that is beneficial to all of us, not just the fat cats and corporate yes men.

Am I the only one who feels this way? Am I a lone voice in the loud echoes of corporate North America? I think not. I think most of you out there feel the same. You are tired of being lied too, tired of living in a so called free society that is just as limiting and controlling as some of the powers we fight to overthrow.

This is a call to arms, a call to action, and a fuckin call to everything. Each and every one of you out there has the power. It's time to do something. It's time to stop buying CDs, its time to cancel your cable subscription, its time to start fucking doing something. Get off your asses and take part in the revolution, its coming, and I plan to wave the fucking flag on battle day. I don't fuckin care, call me an anarchist, but this is bullshit. They can throw me in jail, and I'll claim I'm a political prisoner, cause that what I am, that's what we all are.
