I like wrestling. No, I FUCKING LOVE wrestling. Now there are a couple reasons for this. First off my dad was a wrestler. And my grandfather was a wrestler. My mom met my dad at a wrestling school. That's not the only reason though. Wrestling is fun. I mean it has everything. It has scantily clad women. Some made up violence. The odd car exploding. This shit is like Dallas on steroids.

So why do people still look down upon it? I mean it's not as violent as other stuff on TV, yet it's always a target for criticism. People say to me "you know it's fake eh?" Like that is supposed to be a reason to not like it? Aren't all the shows on TV already pre-scripted? I mean American Gladiators wasn't pre-scripted and it sucked ass. (OK that Nitro guy was cool.)

But I mean fuck this show is entertaining as hell. Yes, I know these guys don't fucking hate each other. But you know what? It's fucking funny as hell if you pretend they do.

Did Michael really sleep with Jane's sister on Melrose Place? No you fucking idiot it's entertainment.

It was just announced that Wrestlemania 18 is going to be in Toronto. Hooray!

So I turn on the TV to a local station and some bureaucrat is stating that this form of entertainment is damaging to children. What the fuck? How many times does some idiot with a personal agenda get to stand up and wave the flag of public watchdog? Asshole, none of us care what you think. Because first off you're a relic. You are so out of touch with society today that you think people will actually listen to you. And second of all, you're speaking about a subject that you have no knowledge of. Have you ever sat down at a wrestling event and followed the storylines? Did you know a portion of the proceeds of Wrestlemania 18 is going towards Sick Kids Hospital? Have you ever interviewed one of these athletes whom you so quickly dismiss as thugs? Saying that they are oblivious to the fact that they are role models to millions of children and young adults? I think not sir. And shame on you.

This Michael whatever-his-name-is pointed out an incident of a child killing his sister by imitating a wrestling move. Of course this is a tragedy, any time a person is killed it is, let alone a child. However was wrestling found by the courts to have any responsibility in that death? No. That however doesn't stop men like this asshole claiming that this child died at the hands of wrestling. This form of reporting is not only selfserving, it's dead wrong.

Listen up people. I was a young kid once. (A long long time ago, in a galaxy …) And I wrestled with my friends and some of us got hurt. The thing is we weren't doing it because we had seen it on TV, we were doing it because we were kids. It doesn't matter if you take wrestling off of TV, kids play fight, they wrestle and maybe even hurt each other. That is a fact of life. And sometimes it goes too far. When it does it's tragic, but to blame Vince McMahon and the WWF is a miscarriage of justice and it doesn't address the real problem. Where was the parental supervision of these children? It's so easy to blame violence on television, music, and movies, but isn't the real problem in these peoples homes? My parents made it very clear to me at a young age, that what was on TV was entertainment and not necessarily real life. I don't go around thinking animals can talk, or wondering what ever happened to that Polkaroo guy.

Look at hockey and football. Two great sports that are very violent. Does this fucker get on TV and say that we shouldn't have the Stanley Cup in Toronto? No fucking way. It's easy to blame wrestling because it's always had this stigma that it's lower class or for kids. Well fuck that. It's time we all put on our wrestling t-shirts and stood up for ourselves. I am goddamn proud of the fact that I like wrestling. I urge each and every one of you gentle readers to buy tickets to Wrestlemania 18, sell the fucking thing out. Purchase shirts, foam fingers, or ball caps. Spend your money. The only way to beat these cocksuckers is to show your support for what you like. Whether it be Eminem, Marylin Mansion, or yes even the WWfuckinF.
