Doc you gotta help me,

I've been a fairly avid reader of BoldOpinion and I have two concerns that I was hoping you could answer for me.

1) Where the F*$% is Downs? My Mondays haven't been the same since he went missing.

2) Why aren't there any girls writing for the site? Is this some kinda guy's thing?
I have become a bit of a fan over the past little while and I felt that you, in all of your wisdom, could help answer my questions.

A loyal reader means so very much to each and every one of us here at BoldOpinion. I have shared this letter of caring for one of our own with all the staff. Downs is going through a troubled and questioning time right now. Please don't ask me to explain it; I am quite sure that no one can. That boy is a riddle wrapped up in an enigma, wrapped up in a quandary. Our man-child Downs' personal hell or heaven as it would be, remains a mystery to the staff members at BdotO and we consider him a true friend and confidant - as long as he is not threatening to slice our stomachs opens. While I honestly cannot give you a firm answer (check the front page - it may be as early as next week) as to where he is and when he is coming back, we are confident he will return to regale us with his insightful and belligerent ideology.

So to you I say, wait and see - patience is virtuous.

Whew, 2 questions in one email. Heather you're lucky I like you. It's not often I am willing to sacrifice the lives of others in need and answer more than one question per reader. This week I am feeling generous, perhaps more generous than anyone should ever feel. So I will address your second question as only I can.

Why aren't there any girls writing for the site?

You will note, when reviewing reader contributions the level of participation female readers have with the site is higher than male participation. Obviously with pictures of 5 hunky specimens on the front page it leads to drooling on the keyboards around the globe. Whether those keyboards belong to male or female persons is unimportant.*

There are currently and have been previously many female writers on this site. In fact, who wrote this letter to me today? You did, judging by your name I would say you, in fact, are a women writer. I just did a tiny bit of research and will now list the names of all women who have written for this site over the past 8 months.

Lori, Mandi, Kate, Tobi, Laura, Mary, Nan, Despina, Kathryn, Heather, Moonrise, Cindy, Julie, Heidi, Sharon, Vicky, Jen, Marlo, Debra, Marsha, Megan, Georgia Peach, CK, Colson, Mistress Eliza, Amber, Anne, Carla, Chani, Clarissa, Jana, Esther, Jennifer, Jessica, Karen, Kim, Ginette, Molly, Patricia, Val, Daniela, Niadi...

The list goes on. These do not include duplicate names or writers whom have chosen to remain anonymous. That is a pretty long list of girls. Not including the girly writing that can come from our male readers sometimes as well. BdotO continues to be a venue for expression his, hers or even its.

 

So, by far, this is not some kinda 'guys' thing. Would that you continue writing, BoldOpinion.com will continue to share your musings with the world.
