| Ye Old Christmas Movies Review | |||||||
| So
you're at the house, it's Christmas time, but it just doesn't feel right.
I know what you need to get you in that Christmas spirit. A life! No, I'm
kidding, you need a good Christmas movie. A movie that warms the heart and
brings back those old childhood Christmas feelings. What's that? You're
not sure what to get? You want a great holiday movie, but you're really
not very bright so you need someone else to tell you what's good. Well hey!
That's what I'm here for. So get out a pen and your blockbuster card and
get ready to ring in the Christmas cheer. Now in Dolby Digital!
A Christmas Story
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation Oh my god this movie is funny. The Griswalds are at it again, the famous family with the ever changing cast of children. Clark (Chevy Chase) wants nothing more than a good old-fashioned Christmas for his family. But of course as in most comedies a series of funny and outrageous events keep Clark from getting his wish. Randy Quaid and his brown mock-turtle neck play Clark's white trash cousin who delivers some of the best lines in the whole movie. Great film needs more pies. Scrooged A modern spin on Dicken's Christmas classic A Christmas Carol. The part of Ebenezer is played by the always funny Bill Murray. However in this adaptation Mr. Scrooge goes by the name Frank Cross a television executive who lacks the Christmas spirit. He is visited by three ghosts blah blah blah. You should know this story, if you don't get out from under your rock and pick it up. Oh yeah and if you don't know it at all maybe you should rent one of the other five hundred renditions of this classic. I would strongly recommend the one starring Henry Winkler (an American Christmas Carol) 'cause nothing says Christmas like the Fonz ayyyyyyye! More pies. It's a Wonderful Life (1946) It's old. It's black and white. It's got Jimmy Stewart. You need more? Okay, this is probably the most played Christmas movie of all time. It's great. If you haven't seen it get it. If you don't cry, you're dead. It's old and has it's faults but nothing says Christmas like the Fonz ayyyye. I mean a story of realizing how good you got it or a story about little elves running around in cowboy boots throwing pies at people ahhh pies. That's it well not really there are a ton of good Christmas movies out there. Rent 'em, watch 'em, give gifts, love Christmas, blah blah blah, oh and throw pies. That's it, I'm done.
